Still Dirty: Catching Up on Missed Rooms

Rooms that never got marked cleaned don’t disappear at midnight. They stay on the board as ‘Still dirty’ until someone checks them off — which is exactly what you want when a small or volunteer crew cleans the essentials on a big departure day and finishes the rest tomorrow.

Spot them

Still-dirty rooms carry a purple ‘Still dirty’ badge and their own count chip at the top of the board — click it to see just those rooms. Each card says when the guest departed, so nothing has to be remembered from yesterday. They sort right after the same-day turns: a still-dirty room with a guest arriving today is every bit as urgent as a turn, and the card shows that arrival.

Check them off

Click ‘Mark cleaned’ as usual. Retreat Portal records the cleaning against the day the guest departed, the room drops off the list, and it won’t come back tomorrow.

How long they stay listed

A still-dirty room follows the board for two weeks, then ages off. The Cleaning Schedule deliberately leaves these out of its forecast — they belong to today’s work, and the day’s board is always the complete answer to “what do we clean now.”
